2020 International Graduate Research Symposium and 10th East Asia Chinese Teaching Forum
On October 25th, 2020, ULIS-VNU held the 2020 International Graduate Research Symposium (IGRS) and the 10th East Asia Chinese Teaching Forum (EACTF).
Taking place online using Zoom software, this activity was organized to expand the scientific research environment and publish research results.
This year’s event was attended by many scholars from domestic and international universities and educational institutions, including USA, France, Australia, China, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc. The event is sponsored by Sunwah Foundation.
This year, the symposium was held concurrently with the 10th East Asia Chinese Teaching Forum (EACTF).
Delivering his speech at the opening ceremony, Vice President Lam Quang Dong believed that the event would continue its role of creating a forum for graduate students to share and discuss science matters in order to reach out to academic communities, simultaneously receive comments and feedback from scholars to improve the quality of their research in future.
This year’s symposium received 168 qualitative papers, many of which belong to international scholars.
In the plenary session, 3 main keynote speakers presented their papers. They are Prof. Raqid Chowdhury (Monash University, Australia), Prof. Rosemary Orlando (Southern University New Hampshire, USA), Prof. Zhou Xiaobing (Sun Yot-sen University, China).
After that, 152 papers were presented in 15 parallel subcommittees on the Zoom platform.
The organizers awarded certificates of participation to speakers, honoring the best papers.
Before the event day, the school also organized online academic seminars for students and graduate students, in which Prof. Raqib Chowdhury (Australia) and Prof. Zhou Xiaobing (China) were speakers.
The 2020 International Graduate Research Symposium (IGRS) and the 10th East Asia Chinese Teaching Forum (EACTF) ended with great success with the participation of about 350 people.
